WINNERS were crowned at the Victorian Longboard Titles at the weekend.

Held over two days in good conditions at Point Impossible, competitors throughout 16 divisions fought it out for their chance to be named state champion and qualify to compete at the Australian Titles.

Open Men’s Division Winner Andrew Burgan was one of many standout performers from the competition, scoring a 7-point and a 7.67-point ride (out of a possible 10) in the final leading him to a combined heat total of 14.67 (out of a possible 20).

Will Cousins, who scored a 7.4-point wave but couldn’t find a good enough second score, finished second.

Emma Webb (Jan Juc) proved to be a huge threat to her fellow competitors throughout their Open Women’s Longboards Final, scoring both an 8.5 and 7.5 ride in what became quite tricky conditions.

With the other competitors left needing a combination of scores, Webb was crowned State Champion.

Other state champions included Hugh Taylor in the Under 18 Boy’s Logger as well as Bea Conroy (Under 18 Girl’s Logger), Emma Webb (Over 40 Women’s Logger & Over 40 Women’s Longboard), Greg Brown (Over 40 Men’s Longboard, Over 40 Men’s Logger, Over 50 Men’s Longboard), Will Cousins (Open Men’s Logger), Angelique Kefalas (Under 18 Girl’s Longboard), Hugh Taylor (Under 18 Boy’s Longboard), Bob Smith (Over 70 Men’s Longboard), John Lane (Over 60 Men’s Longboard) and Anne Stephenson (Over 50 Women’s Longboard).
