The third round of Australian Supercross Championships arrive to Geelong on October 13 with more than 10,000 fans expected to fill GMHBA Stadium

GMHBA Stadium is set to host the biggest outdoor supercross in 10 years when the start gates drop October 13 during round three of the Australian Supercross Championships.

More than 10,000 fans are expected to attend from across Victoria and interstate to see Australia’s best take on riders from America, Europe and New Zealand.

Troy Bayliss from Troy Bayliss Events said Geelong would benefit greatly from the influx of visitors bringing valuable tourism dollars to the region.

“It would be incredible if we get over 15,000 fans. Geelong can become the capital of Supercross in Australia,” said three times former Superbike World Champion Mr Bayliss.

“We are pleased to offer tickets from $40 giving many people the chance to see incredible racing in an equally incredible stadium.”

Organisers from Troy Bayliss Events are encouraging Geelong locals to come and enjoy the event even if they’re not into motorsport.

“This is an event for all ages with a full night of entertainment including the premier class races, back flipping motorcycles and buggies; a unique off-road trophy kart race (four-wheel buggies) featuring Mr Hot Wheels- Matt Mingay, World Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss, Australian Rally Champion Molly Taylor, X-Games Gold Medallist Cameron Sinclair and Supercar driver Todd Kelly.”

A full free for public pit party will take place between 3pm -5pm allowing fans to meet and greet all the riders, with preshow entertainment at 5:50pm and the main program running 6pm – 9pm.
