WEDNESDAY July 25
Mixed conditions for today with strong wind early before the sun broke through and the wind eased. Today’s A grade winner was John McKoy (8) recording a great score of 38 points from Charlie Celi (7) returning to form on 37 points. B grade saw score of the day in Dale Carroll (22) on 43 points! Charlie Repcak (18) a distant second on 36 points. Bill Fawkes took out the nearest the pin with a close call on the 5th hole, whilst Scott Rixon was a little further away on the 13th hole.

Thursday July 26
Tough conditions again today for the ladies competition, Noelene Bray (34) continued her handicap reduction even further recording 38 points on her way to winning today’s competition. Kerry Bond (11) was runner up also on 38 points, single figures are at arm’s length. Nearest the pin on the 7th went to Di Cox and Kerry Bond on the 17th.

Saturday July 28
Perfect conditions for golf today, the pick of the winter so far. In A grade we saw a triumphant return to form from former club champion Tim D Jarman (6) winding back the clock on 42 points, Luke Muller (3) continued his rich vein of form to record another 37 points and take second place on his journey to scratch. In B grade crowd favourite Butch Bell (12) went back to his usual afternoon tee time to record 41 points from visitor Mark McDowall (19) on 38 points, this was on a countback from larrikin Steve Finnigan (16) also on 38 points. C grade welcomed Leighton Bullock (26) back to the winner’s circle with 37 points from C grade heavy weight Domenic ‘The Dominator’ Lombardi (22) on 32 points. Pennant stud Mike Trickey recorded an eagle on the 16th, whilst nearest the pins went to Tim J Hester on the 5th, Darrell Nash on the 7th, Geoff Proposch on the 13th and Dom Lombardi on the 17th. The ladies competition was par today, Andrea Harvey (38) recorded the winning score of +3 today from Linda Turner (18) who had a great round to record square.

Sunday July 29
Contrasting conditions from yesterday with early rain and strong wind all throughout the day. It was a Stableford Medley that was to be played in the miserable conditions. It was Matthew Chalmers (20) who best adapted to the cold, wet day, taking home the chocolates with a score of 33 points, and is starting to become somewhat of a Sunday specialist. The ball pool for the day ran down the line to 28 points.
