TORQUAY’S Under 14 female footy side has capped off two dominant seasons with the greatest prize, taking out their second straight premiership at Lara Recreation Reserve on Sunday.

The Tigers finished the home and away season on top of the ladder, losing just one game and holding an incredible percentage of 591 per cent.

They faced St Mary’s in the Grand Final, after beating them in a Qualifying Final a fortnight ago.

Despite a slow start that saw them lead 8-0 at quarter time, the Tigers pulled away from the Saints to prevail 56-6, with a whopping 21 scoring shots to one.

Penelope Aldridge was awarded the best on ground medal for the day, while Astin McCrimmon was named first best for the Saints.

The Tigers’ dominant 2025 season follows their premiership over the Peninsula Sharks last year despite finishing second on the ladder. They also featured in the 2023 Grand Final in a loss to Lara.

Torquay’s Under 18 female side also played in a Grand Final on Friday, losing to St Joseph’s by 25 points.
