Torquay Golf Club – April 26, 2018

Monday: Torquay Vests/Seniors played today in howling wind and rain. Well done to all the brave souls who ventured out it was great to see you all here no matter what mother nature threw at you. Winning today for the men was Pat Skene with 27 points and for the ladies Maureen Stuart shot 26 points. NTPs Graeme Monks and Patricia Hooper.

Tuesday: The ladies played stableford today and A grade winner Trudy Bath shot 37 points. B grade went to Julie Bottomley with 38 points and C grade winner Michele Hayes also had 38 points. Judy Sceney won the Resort with 37 points. Secret super 6 winners this week were Trudy Bath red tees 15 points and green tees Judy Sceney 10 points. Sari Lowden took out the 9 hole competition with 15 points. NTPs Judy Sceney, Lyndsey Dunstan, Trudy Bath, Mary Sweet, Cheryl Brunt and Julie Bottomley hit the jackpot.

Wednesday: we had two shotgun starts and there were am winners and pm winners. The am winners were for A grade David Strickland 46 points. B grade Clive Smith 39 points and C grade Boyd Williams 38 points. Pm winners were A grade Matt Carboon 40 points. B grade Mick McLean 39 points and Ian Convery 44 points. Resort overall winner was Ron Hedley with 40 points. Guest winner Xavier Grima had 41 points. NTPs Graham Travers, Nicholas Treble, Ross Forbes, Rob Hawkins, Bernard Convery and Matt Carboon the jackpot.

Friday: Justin Willis won A grade scoring 39 points and B grade winner Terry Dowling had 37 points. June Laidler had 34 points to take out the ladies. Guest winner Nicholas Treble is still in great form shooting 35 points. NTPs Ado Cations, Brendan Ryan and Laurie Taylor hit the jackpot.

Saturday: Dave McPhail took out A grade with 38 points. B grade winner John Brunt shot 39 points. C grade went to Kev Leeman with 43 points and D grade winner Geoff Lamont had 42 points. Ross Forbes was this week’s Resort winner with 39 points. Ladies winner Annette Joyce shot 38 points and our guest winner Ryan Biddle (Thirteenth Beach GC) 37 points. Super 6 winners Blue tees Lachlan Boyd 16 points. Red tees Annette Joyce 13 points and Green tees Alan Douglas 15 points. NTPs Ronnie Beacom, Annette Joyce, Ray Furphy, Dan Jeppesen, Warren Gaunt, Ross Forbes, Wayne Olney and Chris Fitzgerald hit the jackpot.

Sunday April 15: Kevin J Ryan shot 39 points to win the men’s competition from Brendan Ryan who also had 39 points. NTPs Brendan Ryan, Joe Pannuzzo and Kevin Ryan hit the jackpot.
