Torquay Golf Club – April 5, 2018

Sunday March 25: Ken Scott won the men’s competition with 40 points and the ladies winner Sandra Lambert had 32 points. NTPs Rob Harding, Richard Ibbotson and Bruce Dyer hit the jackpot.

Monday March 26: it was time again for the Vets/Seniors 12 Hole event and while the weather turned nasty overnight thankfully the morning turned out ok for play to begin! John Monagle was this month’s winner with 30 points and for the ladies it was Maureen Stuart with 23 points. NTPs Geoff Drury and Maureen Stuart. The next vets/seniors day is on the 16th of April bookings are open now on line or call the golf shop.

Tuesday March 27: The ladies had their guest day and once again the sun was shining for the girls. Member Guest winners were Monica Hingston and Sue Gell (Anglesea GC) with 48 points. Runners up Jenni Cottrill and Anne Collis (Curlewis GC) shot 46 points. Member member winners Barbara Stuchbery and Lesley Grebe had 45 points. NTPs members Lyndsey Dunstan, Jane Mann and Vida Brenner and Jacqui Nelson. NTPs for the guests were Lynda Stewart (13th Beach GC), Louise Watach (Queens Park GC) and Vida Brenner (Anglesea GC). Jan Koch (Barwon Heads GC) hit the jackpot. Thank you to the ladies committee for once again putting on a great day.

Wednesday March 28: A Grade winner Rick McNamara shot 41 points. B Grade went to John Mahoney 41 points. C Grade winner Brett Duyvestyn had 38 points and Leo Stella took out D Grade also with 38 points. Cecil Browning was this week’s Resort winner with 35 points. Nicholas Treble (Ocean Grove GC) won the men’s guest competition with 36 points. Super 6 winners were Blue tees Danny Guiney 15 points and Resort Pat Skene 16 points. NTPs Ken Nunn, David Rossiter, Trevor Bell, Graeme Sharp, Rob Templeton and Richard Ibbotson won the jackpot.

Good Friday there was no competition but the course was busy with the long weekenders!

Saturday March 31: A Grade winner Robert Harris shot +7. B Grade went to Herb Hertaeg with +5. C Grade was won by Kevin Young with +6 and D Grade winner with the score of the day was Howard Randall shooting +11. Margot Bradley Scored +3 to win the ladies and Resort winner Graeme Sharp had +7. Guest Winner Damien Grigg shot +3. NTPs Bill Fitzpatrick, Richard Pekin, Lyn Moore, Inge Oliver, Evan Huebner, Pat Skene, Barry Shipsides and Robert Harris hit the jackpot.
