Torquay Golf Club – December 14, 2017

THE Loader Trophy was played on November 26 and Lyndon Langan won for the men with a score of 64 points while Margy McIntyre won the ladies with 64 points, congratulations to you both!

Sunday December 3 was par with only 20 participants in the men’s competition. Leon Napper won with +2. NTPs Andrew Bishop, John Nestor, Ben Chandley.

Tuesday the ladies played stroke. Joye Burton won A Grade with net 74 (18) countback. Lyn Wilson won B Grade with net 71 (28) countback. Yvonne Mazylis won C Grade with net 67 (38). Resort competition was won by Bev Appleton. NTPs Angela Worthy, Cheryl Brunt, Clare Fitzpatrick, Gwen Hand, Paula Mitchell and Monica Hingston won the jackpot.

Wednesday was men’s Stableford with Wayne Bent taking out A Grade with 42 points on a countback. B Grade was won by Santo Giallo with 42 points. John Bishop won the C Grade 38 points on a countback. D Grade was won by Peter Doak with 42 points. The resort competition was won by Roy Ball with 41 points. Men’s guest competition was won by Scott Brown with 37 points. NTPs Martin Roy, Greg Giampiccolo, Fred Deane, Fred Pyke, Ward Szymczak and John Brunt won the jackpot.

Friday, Geoff Davie shot +6 to win the men’s by two shots from Les Norman who had +4. Ladies winner Cheryl Brunt scored +4. NTPs Les Norman, Andy Clark, Cheryl Brunt and John Monagle the jackpot.

Saturday, Dean Pearce took out A Grade with 40 points. B Grade winner John Mulder shot 39 points. C Grade went to Leon Napper on 43 points and our D Grade winner Howard Randall also had 43 points. Ronnie Beacom took out the ladies with 36 points from Annette Joyce also on 36 points. Doug McGregor won the Resort scoring 41 points. Our guest winners were Stephen Turner (Bendigo GC) 39 points and Valerie Gray (Royal Melbourne GC) had 34 points. Super six winners for this week were Ian Sweet 17 points, Ronnie Beacom 15 points and Doug McGregor 16 points. NTPs Michael Lewis, Brian Brown, Gary Clark, Peter Fox, Cheryl Brunt, Lyndsey Dunstan, Peter Orwin and Rob Young hit the jackpot.

Sunday, Joe Magliano had 43 points to win A Grade. B Grade winner Jarrod Young shot 46 points. Heather Dixon won the ladies with 39 points. Our guest winner Mitchell Gilbert had 36 points. NTPs Wayne Bodley, Marg Joyner, Andrew Finemore and Barrie Joyner hit the jackpot.
