ON TUESDAY, our ladies played off the Green tees, which are much more forgiving than the red tees.

It turned out to be handy as gale force winds whipped around the course. It proved too much for some of our ladies who pulled the pin after 9 holes.

A field of 57 ladies started and 49 finished. In those conditions, that is a great effort.

Lyndsey Dunstan finished 1st for A Grade scoring 33 points. Gill Patten won B Grade also with 33 points. C Grade winner Vicki Rossiter who is having an impressive winning streak at the minute shot 40 points. NTPs Lesley Grebe, Kathy Simson, Lesley Beltrame, Jeanette Kent and Lesley Beltrame took out the jackpot.

Wednesday and calmer winds prevailed today for the men’s competition with Rick McNamara shooting 38 points to take out A Grade. Ken Ballard won B Grade with 36 points and Michael Ryan had 38 points to win C Grade. Bob Gough won the Resort competition on 38 points. Guest winner Ian Clarke (Penfeild GC) shot 30 points. Super 6 winner for the Blue tees Phil Brown 15 points and Resort Keith Nicholson 16 points. NTPs Eric Black, Andrew Wright, Ron Fish, Bob Gough, John Bishop and Michael Ryan won the jackpot.

Friday was another cold and windy day and although conditions started out calm the winds soon whipped up causing havoc for the golfers.

Martin Hooiveld managed to stay focused and the best score for the men today with 41 points. Mary Sweet was the only one out of 10 ladies that finished her round today and although she was soaked she won the competition with 30 points. Guest winner Darren Bond (Tallebudgera GC) had 38 points. NTPs Gordon McComb and Ken McCallum won the jackpot.

Saturday the weather cleared and 168 players took to the course for the Blue, Black, Red and Green Tee competitions.

Our A Grade Blue tee winner Rob Templeton shot +2. B Grade went to Ken Ballard with +1. Black Tee: A Grade winner Gary Lenehan shot +4 and B Grade went to Barry Hewitt with +5. Resort winner Ian Lawson had Sq.

Our lady’s winner Lyn Brady shot -2. NTPs Ivan Istuk, Joe Jerkic, Andrew Ranner, Lyn Brady, Ronnie Beacom, Paul Palimaka. congratulations to Michael McKinnon hitting a hole in one on the 17th and the jackpot at the same time.

On Sunday, Craig Schmidt shot 43 points to take out the men’s competition. Ladies winner Vicki Rossiter who is in great form now took out her 4th win in a row with 30 points. Guest winner Nicholas Jones had 39 points. NTPs Garry Hoggins, Lesley Thornton, John Mckay and Murray Bingham won the jackpot.
