SOUTH Barwon and Torquay will play off in the Second Semi-Final of the Under-18 Division 1 competition tomorrow (Saturday, September 13) morning, with a spot in the Grand Final on the line.

The Swans finished first after an impressive home and away season that saw them drop just one game, earning them the first week of finals off.

Meanwhile, Torquay toppled St Joseph’s last weekend by 23 points to earn their place in tomorrow’s game.

While Joeys finished higher than Torquay on the ladder and convincingly beat them in their recent home and away season matchup, the Tigers came out the gates strongly and led at every quarter break.

St Josephs’ loss means that they will use their second chance in Sunday’s First Semi-Final, where they will face Ocean Grove in a do-or-die clash.

The Grubbers piled on five goals to none in their elimination final matchup against Geelong West, which put the game too far out of reach for the Giants.

Joeys went down by 29 points when they last faced Ocean Grove in Round 10 and will be looking to turn things around this time to avoid a straight sets exit.

In Division 2, Barwon Heads will take on Colac in the Grand Final at Grinter Reserve tomorrow morning.

Werribee Centrals and Torquay will face off in a Preliminary Final in the Division 3 Times News Group Cup, with the winner to play South Barwon in next weekend’s Grand Final.

The Division 4 Times News Group Cup saw Newtown & Chilwell smash Newcomb by 43 points on Sunday afternoon to take out the flag.
