A QUEENSCLIFF children’s charity has raised a record-breaking $315,000 at its annual Giving Day.<\/p>\n

More than 275 supporters put their pennies towards assisting Cottage by the Sea last Tuesday.<\/p>\n

All donations were doubled by matching donors including the APCO Foundation, Bulls & Bears Golf Group, Ducas-Paul Foundation, Geelong Connected Communities, Millbrook Asset Management, Millbrook Funds and Shine On Foundation, in addition to anonymous philanthropic foundations.<\/p>\n

All funds raised will go towards giving more children inspiring and fun opportunities at the Cottage.<\/p>\n

Cottage by the Sea chief executive officer Adam Wake thanked everyone for their amazing contributions.<\/p>\n

“Our record-breaking result is a testament to our community’s support. As a non-government funded children’s charity in its 135th year of operation, every dollar truly counts.<\/p>\n

“All the funds raised on Giving Day will go directly to our programs \u2013 offering young people the opportunity to create memories for life.<\/p>\n

“Camping in the wilderness, learning how to surf, catching a fish, swimming with dolphins \u2013 these experiences do leave a lasting impact.”<\/p>\n
