THE historic Suma Park estate on the Bellarine Peninsula has been sold, with its future as a wedding and conference venue secure under new ownership.<\/p>\n
RT Edgar Bellarine agent Felix Hakins confirmed the sale of the 40-hectare Marcus Hill property, which features a grand late-Victorian homestead, historic stables, multiple cottages and sweeping views across Swan Bay and Port Phillip Heads.<\/p>\n
The estate, established in 1888 by racehorse breeder James Wilson, is one of the region\u2019s best-known heritage properties and has operated as a venue and accommodation business in recent years.<\/p>\n
Mr Hakins, who listed the estate alongside Elders Geelong agent Peter Lindeman, said the sale price was undisclosed.<\/p>\n
The property includes an 11-acre vineyard, a cricket oval and pavilion, a conference centre and a dedicated railway platform used by the Bellarine Railway\u2019s heritage trains.<\/p>\n
The stables and gardens have been a popular destination for weddings and events, and the new owners are expected to continue that use.<\/p>\n
