VICTORIA Police are urgently seeking eyewitnesses to a collision that killed a four-year-old child in Ocean Grove yesterday (Friday, April 11).<\/p>\n

Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the collision, which took place in Presidents Avenue.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to reports a car had lost control and collided with a child on the footpath about 4.50pm.<\/p>\n

The four-year-old child died at the scene.<\/p>\n

The driver, a 71-year-old Ocean Grove woman, has been arrested and will be interviewed.<\/p>\n

Police said the exact circumstances surrounding the collision were yet to be determined and investigations remained ongoing.<\/p>\n
