GEELONG photographer Craig Watson will exhibit his Look Deeper collection for the first time this Easter long weekend.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will be on show at the Barwon Heads Arts and Community Hub.<\/p>\n

“I have been a working photographer for nearly 40 years, and after a series of life changes two years ago, embarked on a new project to photograph local buildings, scenes and events in a unique and intriguing style,” Watson said.<\/p>\n

“Each photograph is a multiple exposure of up to ten exposures onto a single sheet of large-format film. The result is often a bit of a visual assault, but the deeper you look into the image the more you discover.”<\/p>\n

He said the integrity of photography had suffered with the advent of digital imaging and AI.<\/p>\n

“Often great photos are brushed off as being fake, while at the same time people are tricked into believing fake images are real.<\/p>\n

“By shooting on large-format film, I am able to prove the integrity of the photo and show it is exactly as captured in-camera, with no digital editing and no AI involvement.”<\/p>\n

It will be Watson’s fourth solo exhibition, and the 12 new photos will accompanied by a mix of his best work from across his career.<\/p>\n

Look Deeper, at the Barwon Heads Arts and Community Hub in Clifford Avenue, will be open from tomorrow (Saturday, April 19) to Monday, April 21 from 10am to 5pm.<\/p>\n
