Now this groundbreaking vision for the Barwon riverfront has taken a monumental step forward with planning approval for the landmark development at 510A LaTrobe Boulevard. This long-awaited decision promises to redefine riverside living in Geelong and marks a significant milestone for the local builder.<\/p>\n
Mr Jennings said that securing this approval after years of design development has been a rewarding achievement.<\/p>\n

“When I acquired this site, I knew it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase a site with a rare connection to the riverbank.<\/p>\n
“This vision started with Glengarry, and we’ve persevered to see it realised. From the project conception, we’ve envisioned a vibrant residential community that embraces the riverfront, much like the transformative developments seen along Melbourne’s waterways.”<\/p>\n
Glengarry Developments has worked closely with award-winning architect Asher Greenwood from GKA Architects and engaged extensively with the city and local stakeholders for more than five years to finalise\u00a0the design.<\/p>\n

The site was originally part of the historic Union Woollen Mills established by William Henry Collins in 1874, the site at 510A LaTrobe Boulevard holds a significant place in Newtown’s industrial heritage with the initial mill building, designed by architect H.R. Caselli was a testament to the growth of wool manufacturing in Geelong.<\/p>\n
While the mill buildings once embodied the bustling activity of Collins Bros Pty Ltd, the land at 510A has since been cleared of structures while the adjacent properties continue to tell complementary stories of the area’s industrial vitality.<\/p>\n
