REGIONAL Development Australia (RDA) has reappointed Liz Price as its chair for the Barwon South West region.<\/p>\n
She will continue to support the Barwon South West region with the goal of delivering economic success by linking government, businesses and communities together.<\/p>\n
Ms Price has extensive professional experience in tourism, the visitor economy and engagement with Traditional Owners.<\/p>\n
She presently holds positions as the chair of the Great Southern Touring Route, is general manager of the Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism board, is an RDA representative on the Great South Coast Regional Partnership and is a member of several other tourism and economic groups.<\/p>\n
Ms Price has also been general manager Australia at Club Tourism Publishing, AAA Tourism and was the inaugural chief executive officer of Destination Melbourne.<\/p>\n
Upon her reappointment, Ms Price said she was committed to advancing a more prosperous and sustainable future for the Barwon South West region.<\/p>\n
“It’s a great privilege to be able to lead RDA in the Barwon South West region for the next two years, continuing to support economic growth and collaboration.<\/p>\n
“I’m looking forward to the future of our work in regional Victora.”<\/p>\n
RDA chairs and committees will meet regularly throughout the year to discuss opportunities for growth.<\/p>\n
Each of the six Victorian RDA committees will be involved in developing submissions, providing strategic advice to government and supporting regional investment attraction.<\/p>\n
RDA Barwon South West plan on focusing on strengthening the agri-food supply chain, advancing high value manufacturing, unlocking visitor economy growth, boosting workforce participation and skills and supporting a sustainable climate-resilient economy.<\/p>\n
Federal minister for regional development Kristy McBain congratulated new and returning RDA chairs.<\/p>\n
