It also marked the first time the Carlton Draft extended beyond Victoria.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"960\">Beaufort, representing the Central Highlands Football League, took top billing and made no hesitation in drafting one of the game\u2019s modern greats.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"962\" data-end=\"1043\">\u201cI\u2019m hoping I can have a pretty good day out and kick a few goals,\u201d Hawkins said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1045\" data-end=\"1161\">\u201cBut more importantly, I want to get a win on the board for Beaufort and give back to the community that turns out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1163\" data-end=\"1246\">Beaufort club president Nic Frank said the selection would go down in club history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1248\" data-end=\"1388\">\u201cIt is simply unbelievable to be involved in this campaign, let alone to end up with pick one and an AFL legend in Tom Hawkins,\u201d Frank said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1390\" data-end=\"1551\">\u201cThe smile he will put on the faces of our loyal supporters and the money it will generate behind the bar will be massive to set up our club for future success.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_160754\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-160754\" style=\"width: 640px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-160754 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/05\/qef-1024x684.jpg?_t=1746065531\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"428\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-160754\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The 2025 Carlton Draft took place at The Sporting Globe, Richmond on Wednesday April 30.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1553\" data-end=\"1579\">Other selections included:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1581\" data-end=\"1959\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1581\" data-end=\"1665\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1583\" data-end=\"1665\">Brett Deledio to Coleambally Football Netball Club, Farrer Football League (NSW)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1666\" data-end=\"1762\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1668\" data-end=\"1762\">Travis Cloke to Heathmere Football Netball Club, South West District Football Netball League<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1852\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1765\" data-end=\"1852\">Matthew Pavlich to Beverley Football Club, Avon Football and Netball Association (WA)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1853\" data-end=\"1959\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1855\" data-end=\"1959\">Will Schofield to Hill End and Grove Rovers Football Netball Club, Mid Gippsland Football Netball League<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2095\">The Carlton Draft, supported by Carlton Dry, will begin matchdays in early June.
