FC LEOPOLD fielded a girls under 9s team at the weekend for the first time.<\/p>\n
The club has been striving to have a team in every age category, and after fielding a senior women\u2019s team this year for the first time, were keen to promote female soccer as much as possible.<\/p>\n
The community\u2019s response has been brilliant with a 50 per cent growth overall in Miniroos and 75 per cent growth of females.<\/p>\n
It was a momentous day and fittingly the girls played Surfcoast, who have been fantastic throughout their history in their female participation – a feat that FC Leopold would love to emulate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
