{"id":105059,"date":"2025-06-16T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-15T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/?p=105059"},"modified":"2025-06-11T19:22:10","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T09:22:10","slug":"barwon-heads-district-pony-club-moves-forward-with-rejuvenation-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/bellarinetimes\/news\/barwon-heads-district-pony-club-moves-forward-with-rejuvenation-works\/","title":{"rendered":"Barwon Heads &amp; District Pony Club moves forward with rejuvenation works"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A GOFUNDME started in October last year by the Barwon Heads and District Pony Club has allowed them to complete the first upgrade in their rejuvenation project.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the fundraiser was to raise $6,000 to be put towards upgrading facilities around the club and breathing new life into equipment.<\/p>\n<p>One of the main projects on the list was to upgrade to a proper portable size dressage arena, a purchase the club has been able to complete.<\/p>\n<p>The new dressage arena replaces the club&#8217;s previous sandy and uneven arena and will allow kids and horses to experience riding in a space similar to what they will see in a competition.<\/p>\n<p>Run solely by volunteers, the club raised close to their target amount, calling on past members and those in the community to donate.<\/p>\n<p>Attention of the club and the GoFundMe will now turn to the second main project; getting new jumps built to meet all safety standards.<\/p>\n<p>The existing cross-country jumps have been on the grounds for years, but have fallen into a state of disrepair with many needing upgrades to meet safety specifications.<\/p>\n<p>The GoFundMe is still open for people to donate to at <a href=\"http:\/\/gofundme.com\/f\/barwon-heads-district-pony-club-project-revitalise\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gofundme.com\/f\/barwon-heads-district-pony-club-project-revitalise<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A GOFUNDME started in October last year by the Barwon Heads and District Pony Club has allowed them to complete the first upgrade in their rejuvenation project.
