A SELECTION of Australia’s best female comedians will inspire a room full of laughs at the Potato Shed this weekend.<\/p>\n

Women of Wit will take place tomorrow (Saturday, July 26) in Drysdale and will showcase the stars of stage and screen.<\/p>\n

What started as a way to encourage more women to begin stand-up comedy in a safe place has quickly become a series of hit shows launching new voices and showcasing comedy legends.<\/p>\n

This year’s event will feature Australian comedy legend Denise Scott, Claire Hooper (Claire Hooper’s House of Games), Freddie Arthur (RAW Comedy Victorian state winner) Sarah Maree Cameron (3AW) and Maureen May who is a special guest all the way from Germany.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Local comedian Teagan Stotz will also make an appearance at the event after shining bright in the Geelong heat for RAW Comedy in January.<\/p>\n

“It’s a show that continues to bring the biggest and best laughs, while giving rise to the newest comedians to watch now and into the future,” organisers stated.<\/p>\n

The show will start at 8pm.<\/p>\n
