THE Surf Coast and Bellarine’s top longboard surfers<\/a> have surfed to success at the 2025 Australian Longboard Titles, which wrapped up last month.<\/p>\n

John Lane (Torquay) and Greg Brown (Lorne)<\/a> were victorious in the Over 65 and Over 60 Men\u2019s divisions, bringing home the gold for team Victoria<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Belmont surfer Melanie Staunton surfed her way to a second place in the Open Women\u2019s final, falling just shy of New South Wales by just 0.30 points.<\/p>\n

Torquay\u2019s Brian Kuit finished fourth in the Over 65 Men\u2019s final, a mere .27 points behind the leader, while Greg Brown took second place in the Over 55
\nMen\u2019s division.<\/p>\n

The five-day surfing event showcased surfers more than 80 surfers from the Under 18s all the way through to the Over 70s.<\/p>\n

The week kicked off with three inspiring days of surfing from the Masters Divisions (Over 40 \u2013 Over 70), setting a high bar for the competition.<\/p>\n

The Juniors and Opens then hit the water over the weekend at Cabarita Beach, bringing fresh energy and fierce performances.<\/p>\n

Surfing Australia event organiser Rohan Fell hailed the event as a huge success.<\/p>\n

“We had a huge five days of competition, starting at Kingscliff and finishing at Cabarita Point with beautiful conditions for finals day,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We\u2019re stoked to bring everyone back to the Tweed Coast. The level of surfing across all divisions was elite, we really couldn\u2019t be happier with the standard of competition on display this week.”<\/p>\n
