AS BARWON Heads Primary School gears up for its 150th anniversary celebrations, students have been learning all about its history.<\/p>\n
In the classrooms, learning has ranged from looking at the different sites the school has been located, school events, and traditions over the years.<\/p>\n
Students have also interviewed past Barwon Heads Primary School students and teachers to get a better understanding of the school.<\/p>\n
“The students are really interested in learning about the history of our school and are getting a lot of enjoyment from looking at the photos of students and teachers over the years,” assistant principal Rachael Curtain said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “There are some great conversations going on across the school of how things have changed over time.<\/p>\n “Students are developing an understanding of the history of our school and the important role a school plays throughout all the decades, especially in a small community like Barwon Heads.”<\/p>\n All of the historical learning will culminate in a 150-years Walk Through Time Exhibition as part of the school’s anniversary celebration on September 20.<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/08\/Pam5_56584-1024x637.jpg?_t=1755681696\")
