THE Surf Coast and Bellarine’s top surfing talent will put it all on the line tomorrow (September 16) for a shot at qualifying for the 2025 Bells Beach Longboard Classic.<\/p>\n

The Bells Beach Longboard Classic pre-event Trials will be held at Torquay Point and welcome more than 40 of the country’s top surfers to our shores.<\/p>\n

The winners of both the men’s and women’s event will gain entry into the main draw of the world tour surfing event at Bells Beach starting Wednesday (September 17).<\/p>\n

The local area will be represented in strong numbers, with Will Cousins, Nathan Rivalland, Matthew Shay, Rory Reyntjies and Rita Lahtinen set to take to the water for a shot at the big time.<\/p>\n

Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson wished competitors the best of luck.<\/p>\n

“The world longboard tour event set for Bells Beach is a great opportunity for the local longboard fraternity to get exposure to the best longboarders in the world.<\/p>\n

“The longboard trials are an amazing opportunity for international, national and state longboarders to duke it out for the final spots in the event.<\/p>\n

There is a number of talented local longboarders in the draw and we look forward to seeing them use their local knowledge through the trials event.<\/p>\n
