Renowned sustainable outdoor clothing brand Patagonia has teamed up with the Bob Brown Foundation to produce takayna. The film documents the threat, devastation and the importance of saving the Tarkine rainforest a
\n495,000-hectare region in Tasmania, one of the last undisturbed tracts of rainforest in the world. It weaves together the narratives of activists and the Aboriginal community told through the experience of a local trail running doctor. The documentary unpacks the complexities of modern conservation and challenges us to consider the importance of truly wild places. Screenings will be held at Patagonia Torquay, 116 Surf Coast Highway on June 29 from 6-8pm.
