After dropping their first three matches, the 10th-placed Cats face a Power outfit who sit just one spot below them.<\/p>\n
For both sides, this clash will prove crucial for their finals aspirations, with a win potentially pushing them into the eight. But with six sides all on the same 2-3 record, a loss could put them out of reach heading into the second half of the season.<\/p>\n
The Cats beat Richmond by five goals last weekend in a well-rounded performance, while the Power hung on in a thriller to hand Melbourne their first loss of 2025.<\/p>\n
Geelong gun Georgie Prespakis dominated again in Round 5, racking up 31 disposals and six clearances. Half-forward Mikayla Bowen played one of her best games in the blue and white, with 28 touches and six tackles.<\/p>\n
Midfielder Abbey Dowrick will be key in Port’s pursuit to limit the Cats through the middle, after having 19 touches and a whopping 13 tackles. Geelong will also need to be wary of youngster Matilda Scholz, who can turn the game on its head in the ruck or up forward.<\/p>\n
