These homes offer more than care, they foster a true sense of belonging,&#8221; acting executive general manager of operations, Georgia Tsouras, said.<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers play a vital role in the residents&#8217; community life. At Eden Park, they support activities such as footy tipping, craft, and knitting groups.<\/p>\n<p>One volunteer from Poland even connects with a resident in their native language, a gesture that is deeply appreciated.<\/p>\n<p>At The Vue, one of the most touching examples of connection is the bond between a resident who is legally blind and a dedicated community visitor. United by a shared passion for football cards, their friendship is a reminder that simple common interests can create profound companionship.<\/p>\n<p>The joy this friendship brings highlights the importance of spaces where residents can continue to share their hobbies and interests with others.<\/p>\n<p>Entertainment also adds regular delight, with visits from ballroom dancers, the With One Voice choir, musicians, and even a juggler bringing colour and joy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_171439\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-171439\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-171439\" src=\"https:\/\/static.timesnewsgroup.com.au\/prod\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/10\/784864410-img_3885_71441-1-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-171439\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Volunteers play a vital role in the residents&#8217; community life. At Eden Park, they support activities such as footy tipping, craft, and knitting groups.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Special traditions, such as the Anzac Day ceremony, where a returned soldier resident lays a wreath, offer moments of reflection and pride.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, onsite services, including hairdressing, dentistry, pathology, and &#8220;Shopping Direct to You&#8221;, ensure convenience and care remain close at hand.<\/p>\n<p>One of the most beloved members of the Eden Park community is Mango, the friendly therapy dog.<\/p>\n<p>Visiting residents fortnightly, Mango brings comfort, laughter, and companionship. Residents eagerly anticipate his arrival, enjoying cuddles, gentle pats, and playful interactions that brighten their day.<\/p>\n<p>Mango&#8217;s visits are not only uplifting, but also provide therapeutic benefits, reducing stress and encouraging social interaction.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;At both Eden Park and The Vue, the sense of community is genuinely uplifting.
