GEELONG-based services provider genU has appointed Dr Chelsea Tobin as its new chief executive officer.<\/p>\n
Dr Tobin, who will replace outgoing CEO Clare Amies, has extensive experience in the social and community services sector, having led organisations across the children, youth and families, as well as in the domestic violence sectors, following a long standing and accomplished career in the commercial and corporate fields.<\/p>\n
She is presently CEO of Safe Steps, Victoria’s 24\/7 family violence response service and a national delivery partner for 1800 RESPECT.<\/p>\n
She has also served on the board of Outlook Australia, a national disability organisation.<\/p>\n
In a statement last week, genU’s board said Dr Tobin’s extensive experience leading 24\/7 community service provision and her strong commercial acumen meant she was was well-placed to lead genU in achieving its strategic ambitions, as she had seen the life-changing impact that organisations such as genU can have on families first-hand.<\/p>\n
“The board is immensely pleased to appoint Chelsea to this role,” genU board chair Ingrid Fraser-Williams said.<\/p>\n
“Her skills and experience will enable genU to strengthen its national presence and assist to drive our strategic ambitions.<\/p>\n

Dr Tobin will start in the role on January 27, 2026.<\/p>\n
