THE ever-mesmerising Piano Men are heading back to Geelong to delight audiences with their Platinum Hits Tour.<\/p>\n

The Story House in Geelong will play host to more than five decades of Elton John and Billy Joel’s greatest hits on Friday, October 31.<\/p>\n

Starring renowned pianist Jason Dean and his powerhouse seven-piece Superband, this spectacular show will take viewers on a journey through the many platinum selling songs from both artists that shaped music history.<\/p>\n

Expect classics such as John’s Your Song, I’m Still Standing and Tiny Dancer as well as Joel’s Piano Man, New York State of Mind and Uptown Girl and many more.<\/p>\n

Featuring cutting-edge sound, dazzling lights and flawless musicianship, the production goes well beyond being a tribute show.<\/p>\n

Frontman James Dean said excitement was high heading into Geelong after back-to-back sold-out recent shows.<\/p>\n

“This is all about the artist \u2014 this is all about Billy and Elton, their songs and their songwriting, sung and played in a way I would like to do it, but with full tribute to the incredible results these guys have achieved with their songwriting.”<\/p>\n

John learned to play piano at an early age and has been making music professionally since 1962, releasing more than 30 studio albums. He has sold more than 300 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time.<\/p>\n

Joel has been a successful solo artists since the 1970s, breaking through with second album Piano Man and going on to record 33 Top 40 hits in the United States alone. He has also played shows to millions of fans around the world and was one of the first artists to hold a rock tour in the former Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

The Piano Men: Songs of Elton John and Billy Joel will be 140 minutes in duration, including a 20-minute interval.<\/p>\n

Tickets are $59 for full price adults and $54 for concession and children.<\/p>\n
