GEELONG have announced their final list changes ahead of next month’s AFL draft.<\/p>\n
Midfielder-forward Ted Clohesy will look to continue his career elsewhere after the club announced he would not be offered a contract beyond 2025.<\/p>\n
Clohesy played 12 AFL games for the Cats, including nine in 2025, and also dominated at VFL level, averaging 28.6 touches, eight tackles and 6.5 clearances in his 11 games this season.<\/p>\n
Fellow youngsters George Stevens and Keighton Matofai-Forbes were also delisted but Geelong have committing to redrafting them in November’s rookie draft.<\/p>\n
Stevens earned a debut in round 17 this season and picked up 21 disposals and 14 score involvements, with the stellar first game earning him a Brownlow vote.<\/p>\n
Matofai-Forbes has not yet been tried at AFL level.<\/p>\n
The Cats also announced trio Jed Bews, Oli Wiltshire and Joe Pike have all signed one-year contract extensions for 2026.<\/p>\n
Bews has played 175 games since being drafted as a father-son in 2011 and featured in Geelong’s 2022 premiership side. After an injury-riddled start to 2025, the gutsy defender will look to jump back into the senior side next year.<\/p>\n
Wiltshire, a Barwon Heads local, played two senior games this season including Geelong’s blockbuster clash against Collingwood, where he kicked his first goal in front of a packed-out MCG.<\/p>\n
Pike is another local ruckman and continued to work on his craft in 2025, averaging 22 hitouts and 10 disposals in his 17 VFL games.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
