THOUSANDS of people descended on Geelong’s top entertaining venues for the third annual Geelong Comedy Festival last week.<\/p>\n

Across four days, the region played host to over 100 shows – from sharp stand-up and musical comedy to improvised craziness and family friendly fun.<\/p>\n

Comedy favourites Tom Ballard Dilruk Jayasinha, Dave O’Neil and Sonia Di Lorio dazzled on headlining duties, while local artists PJ White, The Laughter Party and Tyson Popplestone also brought their A-game.<\/p>\n

Thousands of people packed various venues in Geelong and enjoyed hours of laughter.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Geelong Comedy Festival co-organiser Blaise White said the event far exceeded expectations.<\/p>\n

“It went really well; we were just rapt with how year three went.<\/p>\n

“We always endeavour to put a great lineup which ultimately helps us get people through the door.<\/p>\n

“There was an absolutely great crew of comedians who just killed it, both locals and those from afar like Takashi Wakasugi all the way from Japan.<\/p>\n

“We also had a fantastic volunteer crew, the weather was incredible, and the venues were amazing too.”<\/p>\n

Mr White said all eyes were on making the festival even bigger and better in 2026.<\/p>\n

“Geelong is a small town and you can spend as much money and advertising as you want, but there is nothing more important here than word of mouth.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a great success over the first three years, and we are pumped up for year four.”<\/p>\n
