As About Time Bathhouse approaches its first birthday, the local team is celebrating a year of community support and growth.<\/p>\n

The local wellness hub features bathing facilities including magnesium pools, cold plunges, saunas and treatments for both the face and body.<\/p>\n

Co-owner Ed Curnow said it had been an awesome nine months in the business, and they got off to a great start with a Boxing Day opening.<\/p>\n

Visitors to the space can enjoy a variety of bathing and treatment options.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

“It’s been overwhelming really with how the community’s accepted our new business and supported us and we’re really grateful for that.<\/p>\n

“We’ve loved seeing people come, enjoy the space and leave feeling refreshed and re-energised to hit the day and whatever that may bring.”<\/p>\n

With the business being so well supported by locals, About Time Bathhouse has created a Local Perks Pass.<\/p>\n

To get access to the pass, Surf Coast Shire residents make a one-off $10 payment and will receive access to lower pricing.<\/p>\n

The business first opened its doors in December last year and has since become popular with people looking to relax and unwind.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

 <\/p>\n

“We think that will work really well for locals and then for everyone else that comes to visit or tourists, or day trippers, or weekenders, they’ll have the regular pricing.<\/p>\n

“I think it’s a fair way to do it, supporting those that support us regularly and then still offering something reasonable to everyone that visits the community.”<\/p>\n

Locals and visitors alike will also get to experience the two new zones recently completed at the bathhouse, adding to the relaxing and rejuvenating experience.<\/p>\n

The first new zone to open is the steam room with salt-infused air and light and sound therapy, and the second zone features another sauna to help spread visitors around the space more.<\/p>\n

“Everyone uses our space for a different reason, they might be just trying to escape the day-to-day, reenergise, reboot, they might want to build a process in their daily week that helps them sleep better or recover from injury or sport or just part of their general commitment to wellness,” Curnow said.<\/p>\n

“We would like to spread people around the venue a little bit more, because whilst it’s nice to have a lot of people in the space, we want to make it feel like you still have your own space.”<\/p>\n

The business has also opened a silent area for people who enjoy meditating or want to be on their own, complementing their more social areas. Curnow thanked everyone in the community for turning out and showing their support for the new business.<\/p>\n

“I know when you’re starting a new business, it’s really hard and I know people have come that wouldn’t necessarily be something that they would normally do, but they’ve still come just to support us as a new business in Torquay and that means the world to us.<\/p>\n
