The holidaymakers have packed up and the beaches are again free for all the locals to enjoy.<\/p>\n
We have one of the most beautiful coastlines in Australia, the sunrises are spectacular over the\u00a0horizon, and the pink skies in the afternoon are a daily reminder to us all of how lucky we are to call this region home.<\/p>\n
The Torquay market is still moving fast with properties selling within two to four weeks. The strong demand for entry-level houses has driven the average price of three bedroom houses to $720,500 and four-bedroom homes to $815,250.<\/p>\n
There are a lot of people moving to the area from interstate, selling in the Melbourne region and making the Surf Coast home, plus local families taking advantage of the equity in the family home and selling to upgrade.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll find couples over 50, with or without kids, the main demographic of Torquay, followed by family units and couples in their 30s and 40s, again, either raising their kids or enjoying their empty nests.<\/p>\n
This time of year would have once sent everyone into hibernation, but those days are long gone and Torquay has firmly established itself as providing an ideal lifestyle year round for young and old.<\/p>\n
The Anglesea market saw above average activity in May with nine properties selling for the month, proving there are still plenty of active buyers searching for property through the colder months.<\/p>\n
The median price for May increased to $800,000 up from $795,000 for the previous two months, this time last year the median price for Anglesea was $697,500.<\/p>\n
There were no land sales recorded for May in Anglesea with blocks being in short supply, especially flat blocks that are ready to build on.<\/p>\n
