She&#8217;ll really handle that creative and logistical side. Having both of us as presidents will mean we can do more for the club.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We both didn&#8217;t want to do the role on our own, but we are stoked to be able to do it together.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She said the club was in a fantastic position ahead of their biggest fundraiser &#8211; The Lighthouse Party in February.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve got an amazing committee&#8230; This will give us a greater opportunity to run the competitions, get the prizes and help to spearhead the surf coaching program.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Vorrath said she hoped to grow the community and engage non-surfers. &#8220;We just want to make it a fun environment to be around, and one where everyone can get involved.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>POINT Lonsdale Boardriders Club has ushered in a new era by electing its first female presidents in its 61-year history.
