BARWON HEADS have continued their undefeated start to the BPCA1 season, cruising to a win in a grand final rematch against Armstrong Creek.<\/p>\n
The Titans batted first on day one and set a target score of 190, with Heads reaching the total in the 51st over with eight wickets in hand.<\/p>\n
Opener Max Melzer made an unbeaten 74 runs in the victory, which now puts Barwon Heads three games clear atop the ladder. Armstrong Creek sit second after seven rounds despite the loss.<\/p>\n
Inverleigh had their second win of the season thanks to an impressive bowling attack against Anglesea.<\/p>\n
The Roos had a relatively straightforward target score of 167, however five individual wicket-takers saw the Kookaburras bowl them all out for just 107. Austin Haygarth led the way with three wickets.<\/p>\n
Jan Juc have defended their total of 159 against Drysdale thanks to a seven-wicket onslaught from Jordan Graham.<\/p>\n
The veteran added 10 maidens and was the catalyst of a middle order collapse that saw the Hawks all out for 111, 48 runs shy of the target score.<\/p>\n
Barrabool’s clash with Queenscliff was declared a draw due to overs lost on day two. Queenscliff made 177 on day one and play concluded with the Bulls sitting at 3\/67.<\/p>\n
Round eight will be the final fixture of 2025, with Drysdale facing Anglesea, Inverleigh facing Jan Juc, Barwon Heads facing Barrabool and Queenscliff facing Armstrong Creek.<\/p>\n
In the BPCA2, Winchelsea beat Collendina, Wallington beat Ocean Grove, Portarlington beat Surf Coast and Newcomb beat St Leonards.<\/p>\n
