GEELONG have added to their midfield and backline stocks with their three pick\u2019s in this week\u2019s AFLW Draft, whilst a father-daughter from the Geelong Falcons had her draft dreams come true.<\/p>\n
The Cats had picks 11, 27 and 43 and took Evie Cowcher, Priya Bowering and Renee Morgan.<\/p>\n
Cowcher hails from the Peel Thunder in Western Australia.<\/p>\n
She is a high-flying intercept defender who impressed in her junior career with her athleticism and play-reading abilities.<\/p>\n
An injury limited her top-age year, but Cowcher was an All-Australian at under-16 and under-18 level and also took out her state\u2019s MVP award in both age groups.<\/p>\n
Taken with pick 27, Bowering joins Geelong from the Tasmania Devils and is a powerful midfielder with a high football IQ.<\/p>\n
The Lauderdale product dominated for the Allies at this year\u2019s National Championships, averaging 19.5 disposals, 4.2 clearances and five tackles a game to earn herself the state MVP award and All-Australian honours.<\/p>\n
