THE future of technology will be the focus at Torquay Commerce and Tourism\u2019s next Sunrise Series breakfast, to be held next week at Peppers The Sands Resort.<\/p>\n
The guest speaker will be local Torquay IT entrepreneur Chris Horden, who is also one of the board members of Technology Geelong.<\/p>\n
Mr Horden will share how Technology Geelong is driving digital transformation through technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.<\/p>\n
Formerly known as ICT Geelong, the not-forprofit organisation\u2019s focus is to support Greater Geelong\u2019s transition from a traditional primary and manufacturing base, to a knowledge-based, digital economy.<\/p>\n
In terms of the local Torquay region, Technology Geelong is here to help business owners adapt from a predominantly surfing-focused industry to a true all-round visitor destination with many natural and other assets where the use of technology is the future.<\/p>\n
Technology Geelong provides networking and education resources and events, member development activities, tech speakers and advocacy.<\/p>\n
