Portarlington 7.9 (51) @Community Bank Oval<\/p>\n<p>Prediction: Modewarre by 51 points<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drysdale vs. Queenscliff @ Mortimer\u00a0 Oval, Saturday 2:10pm<\/strong><br \/>\nLIKE Modewarre, Queenscliff can\u2019t afford too many slip-ups over the final seven rounds if they are to be a part of finals action. The Coutas, who were more than competitive in a 17-point loss to Barwon Heads last week, will be keen to avoid a repeat of their Round 1 loss to Drysdale. On that day, the Hawks dominated in claiming a 47-point<br \/>\nwin, with Matt Hebbard kicking three goals. Drysdale has been unable to build any momentum in 2018, with injuries to key players, including Hebbard, Adam Nolan, Josh Hopgood and Rob Corden-McKinley having an impact. Queenscliff 4.8 (32)<\/p>\n<p>Prediction: Queenscliff by 22 points<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geelong Amateur vs. Newcomb @\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Queen\u2019s Park, Saturday <\/strong>2:10pm<br \/>\nFROM the relative comfort of a 7-2 win-loss record a fortnight ago, where it held a two-game\u00a0buffer on fourth-placed Ocean Grove, Geelong Amateur\u2019s double-chance hopes have taken a hit in the past fortnight. After being on the end of a shock loss to Portarlington, Ammos couldn\u2019t go the distance with the Grubbers and suffered a 21-point defeat to sit just five per cent clear in third spot. Newcomb continues to be competitive in patches but was unable to match it with Torquay after quarter time, when the Tigers kicked 13 goals to the Power\u2019s four over the final three quarters. One positive for Newcomb has been the season of forward Andrew Mead-Harding. He has 26 goals from 11 games, the most in a season at the Power since Luke Edmondson in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Last meeting: Round 5, 2018: Geelong Amateur 17.11 (113) def.
