Three senior VCAL students from Bellarine Secondary College have embarked on a community project
\nto donate to the charity \u2018Share the Dignity\u2019.<\/p>\n
When presented with the task of making a community connection by their senior VCAL teachers, Tahnee Shanley, Charisma
\nBoothroyd and Jack Havis were focusing on homelessness and the plight of women who are in this situation.<\/p>\n
The trio became aware that more and more women across Victoria were facing homelessness due to domestic violence, drug and alcohol addictions and many other reasons.<\/p>\n
They researched about how they could help, or make a small difference in these women\u2019s lives and discovered that what they really needed where sanitary items that so many of us take for granted every day.<\/p>\n
This led the group to getting in contact with Share the Dignity, an organisation that collects and delivers donated
\nhandbags filled with personal items such as deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner and other hygiene necessities.<\/p>\n
Tahnee, Charisma and Jack have made an awesome start to collecting these products through sponsorship from local stores and people within the Bellarine community.<\/p>\n
