A SERIES of seminars in Barwon Heads will give parents the opportunity to learn about anxiety and strategies to help their child worry less.<\/p>\n
Drummond street services Geelong will visit the Bellarine in July and August to run one of their most popular seminars and four-week groups \u2013 Parenting Children Who Worry.<\/p>\n
Worry is a normal emotion but too much can impact your children\u2019s sleep, schooling, peer and family relationships.<\/p>\n
Finding good strategies to manage your own anxieties and teaching kids to recognise and understand emotions will help in many aspects of school and family life.<\/p>\n
One parent who attended the course said: \u201cI was able to take home and use so much from these four weeks and doing so has made a huge\u00a0difference to our family. I believe this course is valuable to all parents, not just those with kids that worry, and I learnt so much to help all of my kids\u2019 emotional wellbeing\u201d.<\/p>\n
The seminar and following four-week group will be held at Bop Bop Karrong Kindergarten, 2D Geelong Road, Barwon Heads.<\/p>\n
The seminar will be held on July 24 between 2pm and 4pm, cost $10 per person or free with a HCC.<\/p>\n
The group will meet on July 31, August 7, 14 and 21 between 2pm and 4pm, cost $10 per person total or free with a HCC.<\/p>\n
