BOROUGH of Queenscliffe residents and local organisations will submit four applications in the state government\u2019s Pick My Project program.<\/p>\n
Local projects across regional Victoria will be chosen by local residents under the new community building fund, which will see locals nominate and decide on their own funding priorities.<\/p>\n
The Rotary Club of Queenscliffe has applied for the installation of fitness equipment in key open space locations in Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff, while a community member will apply to upgrade the rocket shed and other heritage structures at the Point Lonsdale Lighthouse Reserve.<\/p>\n
The Queenscliffe Maritime Museum will also apply for the creation of a virtual platform for describing key heritage collections held by the three museums and other community organisations in the Borough of Queenscliffe, and Point Lonsdale Tennis Club will apply for the upgrade of two courts, additional court lighting and extension to clubhouse facilities.<\/p>\n
The Borough of Queenscliffe council stated at its last meeting that it would endorse the four Pick My Project applications.<\/p>\n
The project is backed by $30 million from the Victorian Budget 2018\/19 and will be spread across the state, giving every community the\u00a0chance to benefit.<\/p>\n
