FARMERS have the opportunity to develop an information rich digital map of their farm as part of Agriculture Victoria\u2019s FarmPlan21 program at Lake Bolac this winter.<\/p>\n
Learning how to use free mapping software to develop a map of your farm is one of many benefits of undertaking this program.<\/p>\n
The course, which is delivered one day per week over six weeks, guides farmers through the process of creating or updating a whole farm plan and setting realistic goals for their businesses.<\/p>\n
The FarmPlan21 course will be held at Lake Bolac Golf Club from 9.30am to 3pm on July 17, 24 and 31 and August 7, 14 and 21.<\/p>\n
Sessions will include presentations from guest speakers, as well as visits to local farms.<\/p>\n
The cost to take part is being subsidised by Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority through the Our Catchment Our Communities (OCOC) project and is just $75 per business with lunch provided.<\/p>\n
