\u00bb Weather has yet to truly improve
\n\u00bb Pinkies are still being reported when fishos get out
\n\u00bb Still some reports of flathead and whiting being around
\n\u00bb Salmon beach fishing is still producing good results in some instances.<\/p>\n

BARWON HEADS<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00bb Pinkies and flathead reports offshore
\n\u00bb Some gummy shark have also been reported
\n\u00bb The Barwon River is reporting the occasional whiting, trevally and salmon.<\/p>\n

TORQUAY<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00bb Whiting and pinkies are still being caught offshore
\n\u00bb Our beaches are seeing good catches of salmon
\n\u00bb Reports of gummy shark catches offshore continue
\n\u00bb Some flathead reports have been received by those fishing offshore
\n\u00bb Spring Creek is seeing some nice bream being caught.<\/p>\n

\u00bb St Leonards has reports of whiting, squid, pinkie and flathead continue
\n\u00bb Indented Head is seeing reports of whiting, squid and flathead
\n\u00bb Swan Bay has flathead, reports of a few squid, King George whiting and salmon continue with some reports as well of some garfish
\n\u00bb Point Lonsdale pier is still seeing salmon, whiting \u201cwhen weather permits\u201d
\n\u00bb The White Lady producing some reports of a few whiting and squid
\n\u00bb Reports of some nice flathead being caught near Clifton Springs
\n\u00bb The creek continues to produce a few trevally and salmon.<\/p>\n

FAMILIES looking to entertain the kids during the school holidays need look no further thanks to the stocking of around 30,000 catchable size rainbow trout into 77 waters across Victoria.<\/p>\n

The stockings were funded by the Labor Government\u2019s Target One Million plan, which is investing a record $46 million
\nto get more people fishing, more often \u2013 including kids eager to cast a line.<\/p>\n

Rainbow trout are the ideal target species for children and newcomers to fishing because they are relatively easy to catch and take a variety of baits and lures.<\/p>\n

Several of the lakes are in suburban Melbourne and regional centres providing the perfect opportunity for beginners to try fishing for the first time.<\/p>\n

Most of the lakes provide safe and convenient access for families with fishing platforms, bankside tracks, picnic tables
\nand other facilities.<\/p>\n

Minister for Agriculture Jaala Pulford said fishing was a great way to enjoy the great outdoors.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to get more families into the great outdoors, enjoying time together and being active, which is why we\u2019re
\nimproving fishing opportunities for beginners and experts with better facilities, easier access and more stocking.<\/p>\n

\u201cTarget One Million has stocked record numbers over the last 12 months, releasing more than six million fish to improve inland fishing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSchool holidays are just the perfect time for youngsters to get out there and try their luck wetting a line.\u201d<\/p>\n
