Travellers looking to experience one of Australia’s most iconic rail adventures have the chance to secure a place aboard an exclusive charter of The Ghan Expedition, departing Darwin on 29 October 2027.<\/p>\n

The six-day luxury rail journey travels through the heart of Australia, showcasing the country’s spectacular and ever-changing landscapes while combining premium onboard comfort with immersive off-train experiences.<\/p>\n

The itinerary begins with an overnight stay in Darwin before passengers board The Ghan for a journey through the Northern Territory and South Australia, with memorable stops including Nitmiluk Gorge at Katherine, Alice Springs and Coober Pedy.<\/p>\n

Guests will enjoy the famous Dinner Under the Stars experience in Alice Springs, along with all-inclusive dining, premium beverages and comfortable accommodation onboard throughout the journey.<\/p>\n

Unlike the traditional Ghan itinerary, this exclusive charter continues beyond Adelaide into regional Victoria, concluding at Inverleigh before coach transfers to Geelong, Melbourne Southern Cross Station or Ballarat.<\/p>\n
