THE Sydney Welsh Choir will join local choristers when it performs in Drysdale to help save the lives of children suffering cancer.<\/p>\n
After extensive tours of Europe and America, The Sydney Welsh Choir has chosen to start its state tour on the Bellarine by performing free in support of the Australian Lions Childhood Cancer Research Foundation.<\/p>\n
The unique concert at Christian College\u2019s Drysdale campus will be enhanced by performances by The Geelong Welsh Ladies Choir, which is believed to be the only all-female Welsh choir outside of Wales.<\/p>\n
Also, local choir The Coryule Chorus, which in recent years has performed to an audience of around 3,000 at the Ocean Grove Anzac Day service, will raise the number of choristers to more than 90, maybe even 100.<\/p>\n
The program will not only be in Welsh, each of the three choirs will perform a varied selection from th traditional to well-known show numbers.<\/p>\n
The concert will conclude with all the choristers joining in a mass performance.<\/p>\n
