\n\u00bb Offshore reports of a few pinkies and flatties when fishos do get out
\n\u00bb Salmon reports continue off most beaches
\n\u00bb Whiting reports are few and far between
\n\u00bb The occasional gummy sharks are still being caught
\n\u00bb Bream in Spring Creek as usual.<\/p>\n

QUEENSCLIFF<\/strong>
\n\u00bb St Leonards, a few reports of some small snapper being caught
\n\u00bb Whiting catches are still occurring along with some flathead
\n\u00bb Gummy shark and squid are also being caught
\n\u00bb Pt Lonsdale has reports of salmon and a few trevally
\n\u00bb Queenscliff harbour has reports of a few trevally
\n\u00bb White Lady still some reports of whiting, plus some squid and flathead
\n\u00bb Indented Heads has reports of a few flathead, squid and some whiting and the odd snapper
\n\u00bb A few gummy shark still being caught out wide
\n\u00bb Clifton Springs has a few nice flathead still being caught along with the odd pinkie and a few whiting.<\/p>\n

RECREATIONAL fishers in northwest Victoria can look forward to wetting a line in a new lake thanks to local anglers, the Yarriambiack Shire and a grant from the Labor Government\u2019s Target One Million plan.<\/p>\n

Minister for Agriculture Jaala Pulford visited the region recently and announced work had started on the new waterway, which was historically known as Willow Lake.<\/p>\n

The new lake will use the shell of the decommissioned town water reservoir and be maintained by a newly constructed pipeline from Lake Lascelles.<\/p>\n

Once complete, the 1.4ha lake will provide anglers with a family-friendly destination, located away from motorised water-based activities.<\/p>\n

The Lake Lascelles\/Corrong Committee of Management is using the $60,600 grant for earthworks, the construction of two nine-metre fishing platforms and picnic facilities.<\/p>\n

The Victorian Fisheries Authority will stock thousands of native fish fingerlings, including golden perch and silver perch, into the lake next summer when the water level permits.<\/p>\n

It is hoped the new lake emulates the performance of the native fish in neighbouring Lake Lascelles, where stocked golden perch now provide great fishing opportunities for locals and visitors.<\/p>\n

The Labor Government\u2019s Target One Million Plan has already delivered a raft of improvements for recreational fishers in recent years, including stocking a record six million fish over the last 12 months, saving Lake Toolondo\u2019s iconic trout fishery and ending commercial net fishing in Corio Bay.<\/p>\n

There will also be a host of free entertainment from Base Camp, the Action Arena & the Amarok V6 4×4 Proving Ground, plus fishing and 4WD seminars, test drives & 4WD training, cooking demonstrations and tastings.<\/p>\n
