THE success of the \u2018Use It or Lose It\u2019 bus campaign was clear at a recent wrap-up event in Portarlington, where eight lucky winners of $100 myki cards were announced.<\/p>\n
Local councillor Jim Mason awarded the lucky locals with their prizes, which were a great reward for their efforts to swap the car for the bus during the past few months.<\/p>\n
The Northern Bellarine Transport Action Group (NBTAG) are thrilled with the campaign\u2019s success and are keen to keep things moving as they start to plan their next steps.<\/p>\n
They urge locals to stay involved and keep using the bus service.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe support from our community, local council and Bellarine Community Health mean we are able to have real effects on our local bus service,\u201d NBTAG co-convenor Ken Foxcroft said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will keep working towards a strong and user-friendly bus service for the Northern Bellarine.\u201d<\/p>\n
Members of the Portarlington Ukulele Collective, who\u2019ve been greater supporters of the bus challenge, helped entertain those who attended the campaign wrap party.<\/p>\n
The campaign has been proudly supported by Bellarine Community Health and its Healthy Communities Team.<\/p>\n
