FOLLOWING a highly successful expression of interest campaign, YMCA Victoria will soon launch its first ever retirement community to the public: Lincoln on the Bellarine, at Armstrong Creek Victoria.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a new chapter for YMCA Victoria, complementing our \u2018whole of life\u2019 offering for the
\nVictorian community, as we embark on a journey to develop dedicated lifestyle options for seniors within our communities,\u201d YMCA Victoria\u2019s Pete Gillies said.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur purpose is to reinvent retirement as the start of living.\u201d<\/p>\n
Equidistant from the majestic Great Ocean Road and the burgeoning port city of Geelong, Lincoln on the Bellarine by YMCA Victoria presents a retirement living experience that\u2019s packed with endless possibilities.<\/p>\n
Underpinned by the principles of connectedness and integration with surrounding neighbourhoods, these 174 carefully curated two- and three-bedroom residences feature a coastal aesthetic designed to complement this vibrant and growing region.<\/p>\n
Developed by YMCA Victoria in partnership with ClarkeHopkinsClarke Architects, Lincoln on the Bellarine has been designed to create a symbiotic effect between residents, staff and the wider community.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re building a new brand of senior living in the form of walkable urban villages,\u201d Clarke HopkinsClarke principal Wayne Stephens said.<\/p>\n
The residences will be complemented by a comprehensive range of facilities: caf\u00e9, aquati centre and gym (open to the public) and residents lounge, theatrette, arts room and private dining (exclusive to residents only), all of which will be built against a backdrop of walking trails, central park, orchard and community garden.<\/p>\n
Lincoln on the Bellarine will launch to the general public from August.<\/p>\n
