LOCAL Lorne property, Qii House, owned by Heather McFarlane-Kolb, was shortlisted in the 2018 HomeAway Holiday Rental Awards in the Unique category.<\/p>\n
HomeAway, the new home of Stayz, recently announced the national shortlist.<\/p>\n
Each year, the HomeAway Holiday Rental Awards finds Australia\u2019s greatest holiday homes and celebrates the thousands of unique holiday rentals where Aussie travellers go to create memorable and exciting experiences.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019d like to congratulate Heather on being shortlisted in the Unique category for the 2018 Holiday Rental Awards,\u201d said Simone McDermid, ANZ PR & Communications Manager, HomeAway.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year\u2019s shortlist features amazing properties from all over the country and we are very proud to include them in the list.\u201d<\/p>\n
The property was chosen based on a criteria that focused on the quality of the guest reviews, property image quality, holiday home description, hospitality and relevance to the category.<\/p>\n
Heather said being a finalist was a great reward and encouraged everyone who\u2019d like to vote for Qii House in the people\u2019s choice award.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would be wonderful to drum up some support in the people\u2019s choice award by having people vote for Qii House! I am thrilled to be a finalist.\u201d<\/p>\n
The shortlisted homes will go through to the next round where each property will be judged by a panel of experts, including Wendy Moore, Editor-in- Chief of Home Beautiful and host on House Rules; and Charlie Albone, Australia\u2019s most prominent landscape designer and Selling Houses Australia personality.<\/p>\n
