The cool weather saw 45 golfers hit the course for the main competition. In first place was Rodger Licheni [19] who finished his round on +3. Runner up was Geoff Caddy [9] who ended up on 0. The ball pool for the day ran down the line to -2, with Steve Finnigan (5th hole, 1.94m) and Simon Burriss (17th hole, 5.05m) getting the nearest to pins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday August 9<\/strong><br \/>\nStableford off the red tees for the Ladies. The winner on the day was Marg Hales [11], who finished on an excellent score of 37 points. Merlene Whitnall [33] was close behind on 34 points, which was good enough for runner up. The ball pool ran down the line to 30 points. Susan Browne had her eye in, taking home the nearest to pins on both the 5th and 13th hole, congratulations Susan!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Saturday August 11<\/strong><br \/>\nStableford off the blue tees for the Men and red tees for the Ladies. Eighty five men took the course resulting in a three grade competition, that was tightly contested throughout the day. In A Grade, it was Luke Muller [2] getting the c\/b win over Anthony Lombardi [3], with both competitors finishing up on a great score of 35 points. In B Grade, we had another c\/b finish. Steve Finnigan [15] was awarded top spot over Robert Foster [13] with both men ending up on 36 points. In C Grade, Robert Bridgart [23] finished with the best score for the day, notching up an impressive 38 points. Glen Lochhead [20] was next best, finishing up on 33 points. Alan Hartley (5th hole, 0.67m) and Philip Eltringham [7th hole, 0.30m) cam agonisingly close to acing the two front nine par 3\u2019s, while Travis Agg (13th hole, 1.55m) and Jason Cranny (17th hole, 2.10m) were nearest to the pins on the back nine. The ball pool for the day ran down the line to 33 points.<\/p>\n<p>Marg Hales [10] continued her hot run of form, dominating the competition with another great score of 36 points. The ball pool ran down the line to 27 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday August 12<\/strong><br \/>\nPar off the blue tees for Men and red tees for Ladies in today\u2019s Medley competition. A beautiful day for golf with the sun shining and a cool breeze throughout the morning and afternoon. The winner was Brad Evans (22), who finished their round on +2. Well done Brad! Runner up was Don Clutterham ((17), who closed off the week with a score of +1.
