SIXTEEN local mums have been learning the basics of soccer through a supportive program run by FC Leopold, which has three sessions to go.<\/p>\n
Senior Women\u2019s team coach Cath Sattler is running soccer mum sessions at the Estuary Reserve, where women can have fun, meet new people and learn basic football skills.<\/p>\n
Mum of four Cathie Miller said she was enjoying the social and fitness aspects of the program.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m enjoying learning how to play soccer a bit more because my son plays and now I have a bit more of a chance in the backyard,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe says I\u2019ve improved so that\u2019s good, but it\u2019s just a lot of fun and there is no judgement because we are all new to the sport.\u201d<\/p>\n
Ms Sattler said she was hoping to also run programs in Drysdale in partnership with Drysdale Soccer Club, and in St Leonards.<\/p>\n
