LEOPOLD\u2019S senior football and netball teams brought home both Let\u2019s Kick Cancer Cups at the weekend.<\/p>\n
The Leopold senior team beat Grovedale easily by 87 points in cold and wet conditions on Saturday, while the Leopold netball A Grade side beat Grovedale by four goals.<\/p>\n
During the second annual Let\u2019s Kick Cancer game at Burdoo Reserve, all Grovedale football and netball teams wore teal socks or ribbons, and Leopold football and netball teams wore flouro pink socks or ribbons.<\/p>\n
Tim Russell and his sister Tracey Quinlan, along with Sheridan Edsall and Brent Beer, were the driving forces behind the fundraising game, which featured an informal luncheon with guest speakers, a major raffle and the Let\u2019s Kick Cancer Cup.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s event raised more than $9,000 for the Andrew Love Cancer Centre, bringing the fundraiser\u2019s total to more than $25,000 in two years. Wes Cusworth was MC for the day and interviewed Mr Russell about what he hoped to achieve, and other guests included Associate
